Art for Billionaires. Couture Art Gallery

Art for Billionaires at Couture Art Gallery

The world has practically gone mad! Look at the modern art of today. Do artists even know how to draw? Why do we see comic books and children's drawings for coloring instead of highly artistic works? We can't even talk about abstract art. What is going on and why aesthetic preferences are shifting more and more towards vulgar and naive art. Has anyone thought about the trends and what might lead to and what will be happening to our children, brought up on this vulgarity and mediocrity that reigns around them. Do they call this vulgarity art?

Of course, many articles have been written on this topic. This article is not going to consider the degradation of mankind, although it is impossible to call it otherwise. Let us consider the most important thing. Is there even a niche in modern art, where there are still remnants of aesthetics, mastery of authors and high artistic embodiments. And if there are still the last of the Magicians, who go the other way, preserving taste and aesthetics, are there consumers for such art?

Patterns and stereotypes

Today, in the age of mass production, stereotypes and templates rule the world. All of this does not bypass the world of art. I would say that it is in this sphere that the laws of gangsters reign. No matter how talented a modern artist is, he depends entirely on these patterns and stereotypes imposed on society. And also, he depends on talentless art curators and art consultants, who can simply kill the talent, not letting it unfold.

To be recognized by the world, an artist must either make his own way to his audience by investing in exhibitions, or find an art gallery that will see this talent in him. In both cases, we are faced with stereotypical thinking.

As for exhibitions, it is worth noting that most of them have little appeal and are of a very low caliber. The organizers are interested in participation and payment for exhibition space, not the artist himself. As a rule, exhibitions with a higher rating, do not work with the artist at all, preferring to work with gallery owners.

What do galleries need? They have tremendous operating expenses and they need a trendy artist they could make some money off it. They are unlikely to be interested in an artist who can offer 1-2 works a year, they need quantity. And the more productive an artist is, the more interesting he is to the gallery. But that's not all! Trends rule the market, and everyone tries to keep the direction according to these stereotypes. As a result, we see facelessness and grayness everywhere.

The galleries tell us that with modern technology, everyone can afford art. Art has always been distinguished by elitism, not mass production. 99% of everything on the market today is decoration, decorative items for interior decoration and nothing more. The very meaning of art not for everyone has been lost, it has always been elitist. And it happens because of the feralization of mankind. In pursuit of money, artists are forced to indulge the market and breed mediocrity.

When it comes to galleries, no matter how talented and no matter how good the taste of the gallery owner, he or she is faced with the same stereotypes. In order to get to a low-rated exhibition, a gallery must first take part in less iconic ones to build up an exhibition history, gradually climbing up the ladder. Try to get to Art Basel, for example.

Elite art is the art of geniuses. Couture Art Gallery

The reader will probably say after such disappointing lines that the writer of the article is putting a verdict. This is partly true, but we want to find a niche in this artistic chaos and find our way to the consumer. And this is where only elitism works. No one has canceled the synonym for not for everyone. But the niche is exactly here. That's why, when choosing a business direction for myself, I choose exactly this tiny direction.

Elite art is the art of geniuses! 25 years of working in the luxury industry is proof of that. The art of seeing a genius is also an art and a great talent. But this is exactly what I would like to devote the final stage of my life to.

Many artists don't even understand how talented they are, or even how brilliant they are, unless there is someone around who can bring out that talent and show their work in a completely different light, allowing the artist to earn much more. My vast experience in this field, could be useful to many artists. Of course, my personal selection is very critical, I only want geniuses, but if an artist falls into this list, we can work wonders together.

Probably, if I didn't have an artistic gift myself, I would hardly be able to recognize and invite such talents to collaborate. I have been fortunate. By combining the efforts of two artists, we can organize ourselves into this niche where there is not only no competition, but where there is virtually no possibility of even entering it. There are too many things to do.

A gallery where art is made for a select few

“If you're going to do something, it should be the things that others find impossible.”

We chose exactly this direction: creating works in a single copy according to the original sketch of the artist, reviving the ancient technique of embroidery with silk, gold and silver threads, the technique of inlaying with valuable beads of wood, but applied to modern author's designs. This renaissance has allowed us to create a small art studio, where world-class craftsmen are working, capable of reviving a special art. In fact, it is the first museum and the first gallery in the world to position itself as a couture studio. Creating museum-level works allows you to find your niche in the art industry: art for billionaires. There are works whose technique cannot be repeated even twice, because they are so labor-intensive to produce. Yes, we position ourselves as a gallery of art for the chosen few, because making such masterpieces, not to mention creating original designs, is the domain of the chosen few, the domain of geniuses and they must be presented at couture art gallary.
